Cosmo came to us as a three-year-old at the height of his show and working career, a gift from his breeders, because we needed him. It seems right and natural that he has joined our family, as his mother was born here.
Cosmo grew up with his mother Ravin, half-sister Augie, and niece Junie, as well as his young human "siblings" Colin and Bryce. With Dawn and Marty, Cosmo won his first major at 6 months of age, finished his Championship easily, and has a Supported Entry Best of Breed win and a Group pull to his credit. He also earned his CD, WC and CGC during his "Blazin years".
At nearly 4, Cosmo made the enormous transition into our quiet, adults-only household where he is the only dog. He has adapted beautifully and is all that we hoped he would be, both as our constant companion and as my new working buddy. In the few weeks since his arrival, Cosmo has continued working on agility fundamentals and Open obedience, and has begun Utility work, Senior Hunter concepts, and tracking. His eagerness to work and his learning style are delightful, and we're having fun together. As time permits, he will be specialled locally.
Whatever the future may hold for Cosmo in the way of wins and titles, we treasure him for who he is -- a happy, gentle, loving soul, everything a flat-coat should be.
