I acquired my first Beagle in 1983. She was my first conformation dog. Fresca, Ch Chrislin's Tainted Luv, would turn out to be the first of many show dogs.

In 1988, I entered into a co-ownership with Shirley & Bruce Irwin on Ch Wilkat's Teddy Caboose. Teddy had a wonderful show career winning 6 Group I's and over 20 other placements. Several of his nicest wins were BOB at the Great Lakes Beagle Specialty under breeder-judge Robert Boothe and BOV at the 1989 Southern NY Beagle Specialty under breeder-judge Richard Reynolds.

In 1989, I brought Becky, Ch Lee's Frisky Business CGC, home. She is the daughter of Ch Wilkat's Teddy Caboose and Ch Lee's Wild Red Rose. Becky, the foundation bitch of Beechwood Beagles and later Blazin Beagles, had her first litter in 1992 out of Ch Lee's Little Red DJ. Penny, Ch Beechwood's Maiden Voyage, went on to finish her Championship. In 1990, with Shirley and Bruce, I then purchased Sherri, Ch Johill Lee's Red Suncheros, a Teddy daughter and Becky sister. Sherri's son Stacey, Ch Eagle Ridge Meadowland Magic, was the #1 Beagle in Argentina for 1998 and the #2 Hound.

In 1992 Dixie, Ch Chrislin's Honey Boo, was aquired by me. She finished quickly with a Group III win from the classes. Due to back problems, Dixie was never bred and is now living the easy life with Dawn's cousin.

Becky's second litter out of Ch Bedlam Deputy CD was born in August 1995. Becky presented us with 2 boys and 3 girls. Jamie, Ch Blazin Atrail To Eagle Ridge, went to live with Penny Kretchmer of Eagle Ridge Beagles and Polly, Ch Blazin Pollyanna went to live with William and Wanda Brockman.

Jamie's first litter at Eagle Ridge out of Cedar Ridge Ole Dan was born March 1998. This litter took to the rings and by 18 months, Merlin (Ch Eagle Ridge Chrisette's Merlin, Moxie (Ch Eagle Ridge Moxie of Chrisette) and Star (Ch Eagle Ridge Blazin Star) were all finished Champions. Merlin was handled by Penny to his Championship in 6 shows with 5 majors!

Jamie was bred in 2001 to a Merlin son, Eagle Ridge Hunt For Red October, producing three tri colored males. Major, Blazin's Hard Habit To Break, came to live with us here at Blazin!! Major has 5 points and a major towards his championship. His brother, Ch Eagle Ridge Mr Roberts, finished his championship before his 1st birthday including a specialty win!!
